Esse trabalho foi desenvolvido em parceria com o amigo e parceiro de trabalho Felippo (artwork.felippo.net).

Os limites entre biologia e tecnologia se redefinem a cada dia, em velocidades cadaz mais difíceis de entender e acompanhar.

Existe então realmente um limite? A inundação ininterrupta e exponencial da realidade virtual na realidade “real” sugere que não, mas os constantes conflitos entre os novos e os antigos arquétipos parecem insistir por esse limite. De um lado a busca incessante pelo futuro; a ansiedade insana em trazer o que está por vir para o presente. Do outro, as questões atemporais de ética, relações humanas, privacidade e individualidade.

Quando e de que maneira esse instigante limite chegará a um ponto extremo onde a tecnologia e a biologia caminharão tão juntas que não será mais possível diferenciá-las? De que forma a realidade virtual se tornará imperceptível a ponto de se fazer parte indivisível de nós?

BioPixel investiga onde a busca por esse limite pode nos levar.

A exposição é composta de três grandes painéis de vinil adesivo, aplicados sobre vidro e alvenaria. Dois deles medem 8,88m x 2,10 m, e o terceiro 8,27m x 2,63m.

The boundaries between biology and technology are redefined every day, faster than we can understand.
So, is there really a limit? The uninterrupted and exponential flooding of virtual reality into the “real” reality says no, but the constant conflicts between the old and new archetypes seem to insist on this limit. On one side the endless search for the future; the insane anxiety of bringing what is to come to the present moment. On the other, the timeless questions about ethics, human relations, privacy and individuality.

When and how will this exciting limit reach an extreme point where technology and biology will walk together in a way that we can no longer tell them apart? How does virtual reality become imperceptible at the point of making an indivisible part of us?

BioPixel investigates where the search for this threshold can lead us.

The exhibition consists of three large panels of vinyl adhesive, applied on glass and masonry. Two of them measure 8.88 m x 2.10 m, and the third 8.27 m  x 2.63 m.
